AJ Workshop // Scottsdale, Arizona

It's Saturday so you know what that means... BLOG POST TIME!!!! Today I'm going to completely RAVE about my recent adventure to Scottsdale, Arizona for the Amy & Jordan Workshop!

On Saturday, my dad (my best travel partner) and I flew into Phoenix, and went straight to the closest Starbucks (of course). After enjoying my venti-iced-coffee and blueberry muffin, we had some time to kill so we went to ASU to look around the campus (which was BEAUTIFUL). Later that night we had dinner at this adorable outdoor Mexican restaurant with my brother's family!

Okay friends... Raise your hand if you've dealt with negative commentary... EVERYONE's hands are probably raised. (It reminds me of that scene in Mean Girls, I mean, who doesn't love that movie!)  We're all on the same boat my friend, whether it's been non-stop bullying or just even the slightest bit of sarcasm and towards us, it can affect our feelings.  I know from my own personal experiences, I've been made fun of for trying to make my dream of successfully owning a photography business come true, I've been made fun of for my Type 1 Diabetes, and I've even been made fun of for what I say or wear.

Whether it's keeping up the grades, scoring the SAT, or even waiting for acceptance letters, this part of our lives determine what our futures will be... or that's what society tells us. I like to look at it from a different perspective. Sure, grades and test scores are important and show work ethic, but sometimes, at least for me, we get too worked up about not getting that "A" and it eats us alive.

OH MY GOSH! Guys this is my first DANCE portrait blog post! I'm so excited to open up this new aspect of my business and to reach a new audience. One little fun fact about me is that I was a dancer ever since I was 4 years old. It was my whole life, that's all I put my focus on (besides school because I'm a "grade-freak").
